I have been a private practicing orthodontist in San Antonio, TX for the past 10 years. I own my own private office(Mission Orthodontics), built the building in which our office resides and take care of patients as if they were family. My experience pertains to navigating insurance regulations/benefits, maintaining clinical expertise in my field, operating a small business, navigating the local/state regulations as they pertain to operating an orthodontist office and navigating the tax and regulatory environment of the federal regulations. I have lectured on clinical, academic and business topics as they pertain to orthodontic practice in our country.

Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

    1) Is Competent in my day to day clinical orthodontic practice, while balancing life with my wife and three children. Small business leadership and competence takes a daily commitment to serving patients, my staff and family at the highest level and it is something I sincerely enjoy.
    2) Is Honest in my personal and professional dealings with patients/consultants/business associates. My desire to represent truth and be truthful to those around me comes from my faith and desire to treat others as I would like to be.
    3) Is Respectful in all of my interactions in and out of the office. Although having personal opinions on the issues of the day, I take care of all patients without regard for their personal/political viewpoints. I find the chairside interaction to be a place for me to take care of their clinical needs as well as ensuring each and every person is heard and valued.
    4) Has Integrity day, night and all moments in between. The challenges of my day often weigh on my heart and mind as I go to sleep at night. I pride myself in making decisions throughout the day that I can put my head on the pillow each and every night, knowing I made the best decision I could, with the information in front of me. Far from perfect, but the daily goal is to get as close as I can.
    5) Has Courage to stand for what is right and just. Equally, the courage to stand out of the crowd to speak against a given topic and try to convince the crowd why my position is the preferred position.
    6) Has a Proven Record...Having graduated the 23rd grade(College/dental school/orthodontic residency), I made a decision as a late teenager to take a very challenging path into adulthood. The rigor and stress of those years in school tested my limits, taught me many lessons, but left a trail of successes. I use that foundation of success to give me the faith that I can take on the challenges of the days ahead and bring about change for the citizens of our beloved USA!

The next four years represent an unprecedented opportunity to Make America Great Again and a major part of that is Making America HEALTHY Again!
