    Elon Musk has accomplished drastically more than NASA with a way smaller budget. Imagine NASAs budget with Elons genius. We could advance the timeline for Moon, Mars, and asteroid mining bases significantly. We could even morph NASA into Starfleet.

    Elon Musk has an Incredible ability to think in first principles and plan for long term, pro humanity outcomes. He creates flat, non bureaucratic systems so high achieving teams can find first principles, out of the box solutions. Musk believes in creating good incentives, speed and Iterating quickly.

    Elon Musk also believes in open source. In a Pennsylvania Town square he said that he wanted the American people to be able to see what is being done/cut for efficiency sake and also be able to comment. Proof: X is open source. Tesla open sourced some of its patents including recently its 48v architecture so other American automakers could iterate more quickly.

    Economics: He has a degree in economics as well as physics. He worked for a bank and of course is running multiple companies. One example: Tesla is the first American automobile company in one hundred years that is cash flow positive. Ford and Tesla are the only automobile companies who have never gone bankrupt.

    Part of wasteful, opaque tax payer spending is through over regulation. We have over 400 regulatory bodies. The US is not even 250 years old.

    [/quote]. I think this it is imperative that we involve all of us! Our citizens have so much talent and knowledge that could greatly help this initiative. Current and former government workers are also a great source for identifying government waste. I have spoken with many current and former government workers (some my own relatives) who all complained about the chaos and waste in government and they felt so frustrated that their input was never taken seriously.

    As I was investigating some of the government positions filled by the president, it became apparent to me that there are many agencies duplicating efforts. It’s crazy to have over 400 regulatory bodies and countless agencies duplicating jobs.

    I agree with General Flynn. Don’t make this a department but a commission. This should not be a permanent department or position and should be decommissioned after a couple years. Permanency in this sense equals inefficiency.

    Elon Musk’s mind is bigger than one agency.
    His idea is a department of government efficiency.
    Let’s do it.
    He will find ways to streamline the old ways and create new ways that are better for the people, the voters.
    No reason we have to do things the same old way!
    Let’s improve:)

    Elon would be the strongest nominee for this efficiency dept., he cleaned out Twitter efficiently, effectively, and swiftly. DOGE is an excellent name for this dept. Doge Coin is the ‘Crypto For The People’ just as its efficient. Elon is for the people. I have complete faith in Elon’s word. Good Luck All!

    Do we even need to debate this? He is ONLY man for the job. Give him the authority to rip these agencies apart. 75% of the employees each agency should be given a pink slip on Jan 21st!
