Mr. Alvarez has 25 years of experience in Homeland Security in various positions. Mr Alvarez began his career at the Hidalgo Port on the southern border. He then moved to the northern border and ultimately became a regional port director. Mr Alvarez then was transferred back to the southern border to head the Laredo entry as Port Director, which is the busiest port on the border. Mr Alvarez then moved to Puerto Rico in charge of Homeland Security of the Island. In 2023, Alvarez now leads Field Operations for the Atlanta Field Office where he will direct a workforce of over 1,000 employees across 3 states: Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
