Kaitlin Owens has expertise on criminal justice reform, specifically involving the treatment of women in prisons. She advocates for unshackling of women in prisons who are giving birth and providing them with care. Kaitlin is a strong advocate for women in the prison system, approaching solutions based on her conservative background and beliefs. Kaitlin has not only worked to pass legislation in many states, but has spoken to Sheriffs, inmates, former inmates, and police officers to understand the true climate of our criminal justice system and what changes are needed.

Kaitlin comes from a small town with a close-knit community. Serving people, especially vulnerable populations, has been engrained in her belief system and is reflected by her actions. Shown by her chosen expertise in criminal justice reform (women and children), Kaitlin cares more about the people who need her help than filling the pockets of and bowing down to corrupt corporations. She has strong moral beliefs surrounding honesty, integrity, and humility rooted in her faith and has shown these traits in the roles she has served in. As someone who was close to her in various workplace and personal settings, I can attest to her integrity and her love of this country and the people that live here. I have seen her work through her own personal limitations to overcome them and accomplish whatever task is in front of her.
