After recovering from chronic illness, the guidance in Lily Nichols’ book Real Food for Pregnancy helped me effectively repair and restore my fertility through diet and nutrition, and helped me better understand my cycle and signs of fertility. Later, Real Food for Fertility helped my husband and me further refine our pre-conception strategy.
Nichol’s guidance is accessible and flexible, with consideration for lifestyle choices such as vegetarianism. Through her writing, she seems kind and empathetic toward those struggling with infertility.
Lily Nichols could help make America fertile again, without costly and invasive interventions, or would at least give people the opportunity to try to optimize fertility naturally prior to pursuing IVF and other infertility treatments via incorporation of organ meats, myo-inositol, and basal temperature tracking.
There is a lot of research out there on pregnancy nutrition. Lily is an absolute pioneer in aggregating this research and translating it into resources that are actionable for the people who need them most.
Two years ago, that was me. Struggling with gestational diabetes, and acutely aware that the clinicians both on my OB team and in the Maternal Fetal department charged with monitoring my blood sugar were providing guidance wholly ungrounded in contemporary research. Lily Nichols was a lifesaver, and I say that fully aware of what I’m implying.
Lily is an expert in the field of Prenatal nutrition, especially with respect to Gestational Diabetes which impacts so many pregnant women and their babies. She has done extensive research on how to meet the needs of pregnant women and would be an amazing person to advise setting up to date recommendations for prenatal nutrition.
I used her program for fertility and it worked very well. She is great! Definitely recommend for food pyramid guidelines and nutrition. This will help woman and children alike.
