Marianne Williamson, Dem candidate for US President in 2020 and 2024, has been an advocate for a United States Department of Peace for the past 20+ years. She co-founded The Peace Alliance to support the first iteration of a bill for establishing a US Dept of Peace. (The Dept of Peace bill was introduced by ex-Dem now-Independent then-Congressman Dennis Kucinich, who was also Bobby Kennedy’s first campaign manager. The current bill, HR 1111, was introduced by Rep. Barbara Lee; Rep. Lee is leaving Congress after an unsuccessful bid for Senate.)
Marianne is a quick learner, and is able to rethink and question her own views. So if she, like Nicole Shanahan, and so many of us MAHA supporters, can abandon TDS, then she would be a great appointment to create a United States Peace Academy, and/or as head of a cabinet-level Dept of Peace. Her humanistic, compassionate, political views are laid out in her book A Politics of Love: A Handbook for a New American Revolution. https://www.amazon.com/Politics-Love-Handbook-American-Revolution/dp/0062873938.
Marianne is outspoken about corruption, including: Big Pharma, Big Ag, Big Oil, military-industrial, corporate money in politics. She has also been vilified and blackballed by the legacy media, and denied ballot access by the DNC. Running an Independent campaign for presidency was not an option for her. She continues to work towards reclaiming a functional Democratic Party with RFK’s and JFK’s values, but I imagine that strategy will eventually hit a dead end, as she is forced to reckon with reality. Worthwhile approaching her. Close to half a million people voted for Marianne in the Dem primaries.
Marianne’s a lay person when it comes to health, not an expert like RFK Jr, yet her views are nuanced and she’s open to learning.
Excerpts from Marianne’s latest Substack articles:
AMERICA’S SICKNESS CARE SYSTEM: Robert Kennedy Jr. and our healthcare debate
https://mariannewilliamson.substack.com/p/americas-sickness-care-system
"I’ve been ringing the “We don’t have a healthcare system, we have a sickness care system!” bell for a long time. I mentioned in the [2020] debate that we have to ask why America has such a high rate of chronic illness compared to other countries, saying that in order to deal with that we’d have to look not only at Big Pharma but also at our chemical policies, environmental policies, food policies — and boy, check out how quickly Lester Holt got the camera off me at that point!
Whether it’s Kennedy or me or anyone else, such a conversation is verboten in a system where Big Food, Big Pharma, big chemical companies and so forth have such undue influence on our public policies.
And as we all know by now, anyone who goes there is a kook. . . . He has uttered extreme opinions that have made any reasonable person, including myself, suspicious of his positions at times.
But I haven’t found one yet where his explanation, modification, or the evolution of his views has not quelled my suspicions. In fact, I’ve noticed how often it’s his accusers who will twist information, making something he said sound “crazy” when in fact in countries around the world the same point of view is considered anything but."
TRUMP TAKES A HAMMER TO THE ESTABLISHMENT https://mariannewilliamson.substack.com/p/trump-takes-a-hammer-to-the-establishment
“But I like a lot of the people I know who voted for [Trump], and I’ve come to understand in many cases why they did.” “I don’t care that Trump is taking a hammer to the machine. Democrats should have taken one to it long ago. Too many people who voted Democrat in the past feel they tried and tried. Now, in their despair, they are willing to try something else. I don’t agree with their political calculation, but I respect their yearning.”
