Children are one thing, what about his qualifications in directing higher education? It seems the Dept. of Education has dropped the ball not only on K-12
Proudly cast my vote for Mark Rothstein as I’ve seen how he acts as a positive, energetic, inspirational example of good health and good values as an educator at my daughter’s elementary school in NJ. “Rock on” Mark…Rock ON!
I have known Mark for over 30 years and feel blessed to call him a family friend. I was fortunate to have him visit and perform at my elementary schools in York, Pa where he presented his “Jump Against Drugs” program to my K-6 students. I was amazed at how he engaged these students and kept their full attention. His message promoted life long fitness, goal setting, integrity, making positive choices and never giving up. Mark is truly one of the most passionate fitness professionals I have ever met and I highly recommend him for this award, where he will continue to inspire and motivate people of all ages to continue making healthy choices. I am confident that his message is clear that it will always be top priority for us all to continue taking care of our physical, emotional, social and mental health no matter what age or ethnicity.
As impressive as it is that Mark is a long-standing member of the National Fitness Hall of Fame (2011 inductee) along with all his impressive accomplishments, nothing has been more impressive than witnessing his dedication and motivation to promote fitness education around the world. Although he has had many opportunities to promote “self” and become a well-known celebrity, he has chosen to stay focused on his passion of educating every demographic the need to stay fit via exercise and a healthy diet. By choosing the original “Rock”, you will receive someone who has dedicated his entire life to promoting fitness and well-being and has done this with honor across America, along with being a living example to what it means to stay fit. You could not choose a better example to Make America Healthy Again!! This initiative was created for Mark.
No one represents “Make America Healthy Again” better than Mark. He is a living testimony to this slogan!!!
Mark is an inspirational role model who encourages children to be physically active as well as communicate with excellent manners. Mark has also encouraged me as an educator, and he has shown my children the importance of healthy living.
Mark is a very kind, personable, and healthy educator. He’s engaging with children and teaching is his passion in life. He is a perfect addition to this education initiative. He truly embodies what it means to be healthy of body, mind, and spirit.
Mark has been an inspiration to many people. He deserves this award!

I have known Mark for over 30 years, and I have the utmost respect for him. Being a physical educator myself for thirty years, we have had a lot of interactions. He visited my school numerous times performing jump rope expeditions for the students and faculty. He donated over 100 jump ropes to my school so my students would have jump ropes to practice with. He is an outstanding role model for children and adults! His accomplishments in jump roping skills landed him in the Genisis Book of World Records for endurance rope jumping and he still holds the record today.
Mark is of the kindest, most trustworthy, dependable and reliable people I have ever known. As a longtime friend, I highly recommend him for the appointed position of “Make America Healthy Again”. He will be a valuable asset in every way possible.
It is easy to recommend Mark to a position regarding health and fitness of young people. It is his life’s work and it is the reason he is in the National Fitness Hall of Fame.
Mark has been a family friend since before I was a teenager (@35 years). I’ve had the chance to camp with him; travel with him (including to home in Georgia) and learn the meaning of Moody Blues and chauffeuring; attend events from Havre to IN to New York; and most importantly see him get inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame (a perk was seeing Arnold!).
No matter your stance on life/politics, this is something we should all be able to come together on - physical fitness, sound mind/body, and encouraging the youth to make good choices. I admit I don’t always make the good choices or follow in the footsteps of those that have taught me including those in PE field (Mark, parents, sister) but I understand it’s benefit.
I told Mark I hope to be his roadie one last time - possibly doing a show at the White House. Either way its another feather in his cap. For someone who has invested his life into physical fitness. Look at his website, google him, watch YouTube videos. I still have his promo DVD’s and this guy can do amazing things with a jump rope. And yes, he was in the record books for longest time jump roping (36+ hours).
Mark may be shorter and stronger than me but he knows I can take him any day!
Mark is truly the epitome of a fitness educator.
An excellent example for children. Integrity is at the forefront of all his presentations.
In the past 11 years he has educated our elementary school on fitness as well as personal character.
I recommend him without reservation.
What a great human being!
Best,
