Media Relations, Communications
Policies which the nominator knows the nominee supports or in which they have expertise:
Ive worked in local digital media since 1998, including several crises communications incidents (April 16th at Virginia Tech, Hurricane Katrina, and the murder of a WDBJ cameraman and reporter at Smith Mountain Lake by a disgruntled employee). Also very good at sales, and teaching people. Also have a knack for looking at things in a different way. Contrarian mindsets can uncover new ways forward.

Personally familiar with how media works, and how reporters tend to approach issues. Experienced working under tight deadlines in high-pressure situations. Im a decent writer, in a variety of formats, and have can write on spec and on deadline.
As a manager, Im currently responsible for managing a team and meeting a budget. Ive hired good people and also fired people (the key there is remembering poor performers are likely not happy in their position; youre helping them reach a better future). My current position in sales requires being able to read people, create solutions, and manage and meet expectations.
Even in the rowdy world of X, I believe in trying to persuade rather than belittle. One thing America needs to do better is lead people to consensus, rather than attacking each other. The way to a better nation is to convince people to join us in building it.
As digital project manager (decades ago) Ive got some experience in the continual improvement process.
Lastly and most importantly, Im an idea generator. Heres a few:
*Require Pharma companies to pay a dollar to an independent health advertising fund for every dollar they spend in advertising.
*Require independent ad spend in any settlement or penalty against Pharma companies, in order to publicize the issues that lead to such settlement or penalty.
*Get Congress to pass a rule to require a consideration period for legislation, equal to 2 hours per page of legislation. This would most likely DRASTICALLY reduce the length of bills, and give Congress time to read and discuss legislation before voting.
*Create a White House Office of the Citizen, where normal people get to see whats going on in the government, ask questions, and provide advice from a common-sense perspective.
*Divest Federal lands to people impacted by redlining and other race-based policies. This would settle what some people see is a debt owed by our nation, but would also unlock resource production, change the electoral map, and provide lasting wealth to people who may have had land stolen from them by banks or the government.
