Agency or agencies for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

  • White House Office

Organization name(s) and position(s) for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

I want to write policies for different stakeholders, demonstrating that public-private cooperation does not need to be top-down, and that we can find write policies that align with any stakeholder's bottom-line without government overreach.

Policies which the nominator knows the nominee supports or in which they have expertise:

I describe my general policy approach as post-zero-sum, meaning that it uplifts people both within their own countries and in the United States. I believe in an adaptive approach—sometimes hands-on, other times hands-off—to help nations invest in their citizens, support individual sovereignty in human rights, and instill free-market principles to nurture and tap into the creative potential of the people. My primary focus is on the developing world, where the effects of colonialism have left lasting scars. The unfortunate truth is that the current liberal world order often serves itself rather than humanity as a whole. To present a hopeful future, I believe that the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals must be actualized in developing countries, as they have and continue to endure the trauma of hundreds of years of exploitation. My background in national security has highlighted the essential link between human rights and global stability, driving my conviction that prioritizing human rights can address many security challenges.

I have specialized expertise in writing a variety of policy memos that draw on my general principles highlighted above. I have written policies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, unfortunately, my fundamental values are unconventional in Washington D.C. – so I haven’t been able to use my policymaking skills in a real-world context. In my classes at Georgetown, I wrote policy memos that were along the lines of investing in the people of Iran; working with Saudi Arabia to foster a more conducive entrepreneurial environment for Americans under the current Crown Prince – who is very revolutionary in a traditional Islamic sense; and engaging with private sector actors like Delta Airlines to combat human trafficking through a campaign that reinforces to consumers their commitment to corporate responsibility and human rights. My policymaking approach engages various stakeholders from business, government, and society, which transcends the traditional zero-sum framework of today’s Democrat Party and yesterday’s Republican Party.

Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

I identified some personal experiences in the previous essay question that demonstrate my dedication to self-reflection and continuous growth, a journey that I hope will never end in this incarnation or the next. I did not outline any of my professional accomplishments because I feel that they can be attributed to my journey of self-awareness and growth. The dedication I place on my self-growth is the same dedication I place on my craft in whatever career I am in. I am a strong intelligence analyst, creative problem solver, and passionate public servant. I hope to serve on the Trump Coalition in a capacity that draws on my insights and skills to better the public interest and common good. Thank you for this opportunity to express who I am.
