Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

    2) Is Honest...

    3) Is Respectful ...
It is central to the Junglekeepers ethos to employ and train local and indigenous community members in the active protection of land that is ultimately theirs.

Forest Rangers monitor our concessions, maintain trails and report any illegal activity occurring on the land being monitored. Rangers also track wildlife to contribute to broader scientific datasets in the region.

For local Peruvians, our Ranger Program also offers an employment alternative to protect the land rather than being forced to participate in harmful activity due to economic pressure.

    4) Has Integrity ...

After more than a decade of work on the ground and research, Junglekeepers has provided proof of concept of what it takes to sustainably protect more than 77,000 acres of land. For more than 2 years they’ve been protecting the land, pushed back on illegal logging, documented the number of unique species endemic to the region.

    5) Has Courage ...

    6) Has a Proven Record...
Within the current boundaries of the reserve Junglekeepers has seen incidents of illegal logging drop by over 90% and incidents of illegal land acquisition drop to almost zero. Their rangers patrol hundreds of kilometers per year. Within the Junglekeepers protected land, the animals are safe, the ancient trees are safe, and the forest is free to function as it has for millions of years.
Paul’s work is spreading awareness and literally saving the Amazon.
