Agency or agencies for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

  • Department of Health and Human Services

Organization name(s) and position(s) for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

Policies which the nominator knows the nominee supports or in which they have expertise:

Policies regarding womens health related to pregnancy and birth because of my 20 years experience as a birth doula; policies regarding nutrition, food and health due to my experience and knowledge as a dietitian who has worked in health care (aka sick care) for over 26 years; I practice functional medicine with my clients and in my own health and household; policies regarding vaccines and mandates- I am a huge supporter of personal autonomy and of parents right to choose for their children regarding vaccines. I believe no one should be denied access to employment, school or any other public or personal right because of their vaccination status. I live in California and have been actively involved in trying to stop the laws sb276 and sb277 that were passed here in our state. I have been active in ICAN as a supporter and have even considered going to law school to help protect peoples rights regarding vaccines and vaccine injury. My friends come to me when they have issues with work or school regarding laws and rights with vaccines. Overall, with my experience as a birth doula, health knowledge and experience as a dietitian and seeing how our current health care system is failing and as a parent and health and informed decision advocate, I feel I could contribute in big ways and make a lasting difference for people.

Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

    1) Is Competent ...in my expertise as a birth doula and dietitian and advocate for women and family health outcomes.
    2) Is Honest...about conflicts of interest. I have not been a member of my national nutrition association since 2004. I discovered that they are sponsored by corporations such as Nutrasweet and Big Ag. I refused to work for pharma even though I had opportunities to work as a sales rep. I have known about the pharmaceutical industry capture in the medical field since the early 2000s
    3) Is Respectful ...of freedom of speech, the constitution
    4) Has Integrity ...to serve the interests of people, not corporate interests and with my word
    5) Has Courage ...to blow the whistle on and discipline those who betray the public trust and to speak up for what I believe and when I think someone might be in harms way
    6) Has a Proven Record... of helping people have good outcomes in health and in their birth experiences. I have a proven record with my past employers in improving health outcomes for patients. I implemented a meditation program for dialysis patients and saw in real time the positive effect it had in reducing blood pressure.
