    K-12 Education Policy (We need to incentivize excellence again, and gravitate away from collectivist indoctrination of our youth)
    Policies implications related to the education of English learners. Particularly secondary English learners, migrant children and students with interrupted formal education.
    Policy implications related to proprietary post-secondary education and regulations set forth by the US Department of Education (Supports deregulation)

     

    Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

    1) Is Competent and possesses a thorough understanding of the "Public Education Industrial Complex" and how it operates. Has record of administrative leadership in a multitude of educational settings.
    2) Is Honest and holds a track record of hiring educators on merit. Has an antipathy towards hiring and elevating personnel based on nepotism and characteristics unrelated to talent, skills, credentials and experience.
    3) Is Respectful and is a very strong advocate for the first amendment. As a nation we need to return to the practice of defending the rights of others to express their opinions in the public arena even if we disagree. Cancel culture is a stain on the fabric of this nation and is antithetical to founding philosophy of our great nation.
    4) Has Integrity and will vocalize concerns when she feels a policy is being made to serve the interests of the elite over the interests of the American people.
    5) Has Courage and is not afraid to blow the whistle on and discipline those who betray public trust. She understands how turning a blind eye to corruption brings only breeds more corruption.
    6) Has a Proven Record leadership and results. She gets the work done!

    The American education system needs a total revamp. We spend a great deal of resources on bringing lower performing students to the center, while neglecting students who have the potential to really excel. Why can’t we have both? We really should strive for the best outcomes for all learners and not hold back one group of students “until we all get there”. There’s too many professionals in my sector who resent the meritocracy.

    Having spoken with Dr. Rocco, I believe she is savvy and well-versed in the twists and turns and the labyrinth that is the educational system of New York. This is no small task. I believe she sees where weaknesses exist in that system and where changes should be made. She will bring this great expertise to the Department of Education and be an asset there. I strongly recommend she be considered for a position in the Department of Education.
