Dr. Ben Carson has said his greatest passion is to aid individuals with decent living spaces, in addition to, quality of life through programs and local communities that provide opportunities to excel and grow. I believe he will best be suited as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development or Secretary of Education.
Ok but what are his plans to solve homelessness for urban populations with the highest homelessness, where housing construction is not the issue? Beautifying spaces and constructing good homes can help fix up the aesthetics of rural, suburban, and urban places, and give more houses to suburban and rural areas. But urban areas already have the buildings, yet they have the highest homelessness rates. How does Ben Carson intend to improve cost of living and apartment / housing affordability, deal with the lack of access to mental healthcare crisis, and the link between addiction, unemployment, and homelessness? Traditional halfway houses are failing. What is Carson’s plan for tackling homelessness?
And how you gonna address the roots cause of homeless, addiction, mental health, to push them thru self sufficient so they have option you can not have the one size fit all approach, you have too look at it with no wrong door there not just one kind of housing that address homeless and what make me a expert i also have lived experience.
When the flooded of the open border took place in stead of dealing with immigration policy and keeping it separate, they turn the immigration problem into homeless tsunami, and manipulating the land mark victory that was one in nyc and nys for homeless citizens Callahan v Cary a right to shelter as a way to address the homeless tsunami which was only for homeless citizens, then the money launder ponzie scheme in certain agency where they should be helping homeless but there salary close to million dollars, 5,000 a month for each shelter individual, 10,000 for the migrate it becane a bussiness, homeless individual and homeless family staying in shelter too and three years or longer with no help no wrap around service or no getting there own apartment. The under value of housing voucher where landlord dont want to accept it but slum land lord and chances are your moving in apartment with moles rodents and the crimilization of dismantle of encampentment and jailing people for being homeless, i sit on the board of national coalition for homeless im Executive Director Of Breaking The Cycle Drop Corp and strong advocate for injustice, i wrote biden and said he need to declare a declaration state of emergency under the Robert T Strafford Act if he would a listen we wouldn’t be having a homeless tsunami now im the best person to fix the homeless and housing crisis.
100% agreed. I also like Renee Mifchell for housing. She has experience alleviating homelessness in major urban environments where it’s most needed. She was successful in helping many people in NYC, but in a government housing position she could possibly do more. Renee Mitchell
I love Bernie for labor, in terms of his labor policy ideas that often align with Trump’s values on improving manufacturing and ending outsourcing— but I understand why many Trump supporters (I voted Trump this election too) don’t like Bernie because he endorsed Kamala, Biden, Hillary instead of biting back with more teeth at the party that rigged him out of 2 primaries.
I feel like Sean O’Brien (president of the Teamsters, who spoke at the RNC) might be a better Department of Labor head figure. I made a submission for him today that should be showing up by tomorrow some time.
I’d love to see him in the cabinet - but I’m not sure HUD is the right place for him. I’d like to see someone at the HUD who’s going to go after any bad actors who might be buying up all the real estate in this country. I don’t think that’s Dr. Carson’s skill set. I’d love to see him support MAHA’s initiatives.
There is no reason a single mother with chronic pain and illness (that can look one thing on the inside another on the outside) with 2 kids 1 whom is special needs ever have to bounce from place to place on and off since 2017 Hurricane Irma and tons of hurricanes since loosing everything over and over plus losing during covid slumb lord’s and the crazy qualifications on and off homeless not qualify for help. Familys should have fair affordable decent safe housing to raise there family expecally if taking care of any person’s with special needs if anyone would like to talk about this and bounce ideas I can go more indept with my personal experience
I agree to BenCarson as a nominee but feel his services could be better used in other places rather than HUD. I am a local realtor and appraiser for 36 yrs and if he were to remain in that position I def see some real needs that should be changed in that area. Otherwise he is great in perhaps other positions def a vote for Carson
