Policies which the nominator knows the nominee supports or in which they have expertise:
This person is my mom. She's perfect to change the direction of education in our country. She's served on two boards for education choice in California, has a small business offering enrichment, tutoring and consulting to home school students, but more it's her vision about education, her passion and her drive to change education so it is child centered and to provide a higher quality that allows us to reach our potential as we exit high school by restructuring education. Just talk to my mom and you will see why so many have come to know her as a fighter and advocate for kids. She says she grew up with no child left behind. Our family were all teachers. She wanted to be one until high school. She has home schooled me since 3rd grade while working and going to school herself. She says she needs to finish before anyone will take her seriously, but I think this administration might give a regular single mom a chance. I think she'd be amazing at the department of education. Heading it has been her goal for the past four years that she's been fighting them to advocate for me. There's nobody who is willing to sacrifice herself for kids more than my mom. In fact nominate her for mom of the year too.
Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government
1) Is Competent ...My mom has navigated growing up in extreme poverty, with really bad conditions and an environment that could have caused her to go down a very different path, but it's her inner strength and voice that keeps her away from anything that might get in the way of her goals. She's raised me alone, going to school full time and working full time and giving me every opportunity to be ahead in life that shows her competence
2) Is Honest...There is no one more honest than my mom. I've never known er to lie, even when it would help her. She won't even lie on her resume and everyone else says they all lie on their resume. She believes the truth always comes out and lies eat away at your conscience and when she's old she wants a good soul.
3) Is Respectful ...If you're respectful, she is. If you're not, she's matching your energy in a professional way.
4) Has Integrity ...It's hard to put into words how do you explain how everything has tried to break your hero, and nothing does. Her spirit and heart are unbreakable.
5) Has Courage ...She's so brave she turned her entire family away and would be homeless before she allowed them o abuse her anymore. That's when she met my dad and then he abused her. She stood up in court to protect us and has never failed me or let me down. She picks herself back up with grace and integrity and gets right back to work on her goals.
6) Has a Proven Record... The record on my mom might read like she's nobody. She didn't graduate high school cus her mom went to jail. She went back on her 18th birthday to be told when she finished they weren't aware she'd turned 18 and made her get a GED. She went from homeless to lici g in section 8 housing where we have been stuck as she's tried to grow and overcome her upbringing. She sees education and that system as her biggest barrier. Everything else was other people's decisions, she chose to go in the opposite direction and made what she was told were right decisions and nothing ever works out for her. I wanna see my moms dreams come true, but I know she has gotten her GED on her own after growing up abused by everyone at every stage of life in the worse ways. Then she had me and fought to keep me, fought to raise me right and give me a better life. She fights for the under dog. I've seen her stop and chase teens off another who was being attacked, I've seen her stop traffic to help a man in a wheelchair cross where others were honking at her for being stopped, I've seen her run home to get bags of clothes to give out, she's had blanket drives for the homeless, she's protested on the street about policies that were being forced through and she's just always fighting for the good guys. This country's kids need my mom. Every kid with a non-existent parent or a mom who doesn't fight for them, needs my mom at the department of education . Please don't overlook this woman cus her lack of higher degrees. She plans to get there, but this country can't wait for her vision. Her not being done is exactly why we need her.
