Robert T Stafford Act, Post Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act, Disaster Relief Act, Disaster Recovery Reform Act, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Code of Federal Regulations
Area of Expertise:
Over the last seven years the Nominee has been working for FEMA in Region 2 as a response logistician. When Region Two’s jurisdictional partners require FEMA assistance, the nominee is one of the first out the door for any potential or real incident. If it is a no notice event, such as an earthquake, he is then out the door as soon as humanly possible. In both cases, he will be laying the ground work for initial incident management. He is a subject matter expert on the Robert T Stafford act and how it governs what relief can be employed in a disaster situation. He has years of service in Federal Emergency Management starting with his work in the National Disaster Medical System under Health and Human services and continues with his work in FEMA Region Two today. He has over 30 years of experience in Emergency Response. His experience as a Firefighter, EMT, and Paramedic, quickly drew him to the rapidly expanding field of emergency management. He is still an active volunteer at his local fire house when he’s not away serving his country for the agency. From a field leadership perspective, the nominee brings firsthand knowledge of how to efficiently and effectively drive his team to deliver federally backed programs covering Response, Recovery, Mitigation, Protection and Prevention. As such he would make a formidable Regional Administrator for FEMA Region Two.
