Is competent because I have spent 6 years in the hospital setting in surgery Is honest about conflict of interest because I have seen it first hand and am tired of it. Has integrity because that is the environment I function in daily as a nurse. I have cofounded a nonprofit with a mission to serve the public Have courage to blow the whistle because how will we accomplish anything if we dont do this? It is necessary. Have a dense history of positive impact and results with all leadership roles, creating change in behavior positively for health causes.
I endorse Katherine Prentice because she has a strong work ethic and all encompassing knowledge for health and wellness. She has worked in the healthcare field in trauma units seeing the impacts of many diseases, cancer, and trauma wounds while consistently doing her research and studying the way food and environmental change impacts the human body. Katherine embodies a strong, logical, ethical and concise practice in anything she does. She is innovative and research oriented. She has a passion for educating and helping the public with their health.
I endorse Katherine Prentice for a role within your administration. With many years of experience in nursing (specifically in high-stress trauma units and travel nursing), Katherine possesses exceptional leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and unparalleled dedication to the health care field. Outside of nursing, she has proven to be a leader in her community by helping start a non-profit focused around fitness/health and being active on social media, leading by example and spreading awareness about her passions. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Katherine for almost 5 years now and I can confidently attest to her exceptional character, work ethic, and dedication to serving others. MAHA would be lucky to have her!
I endorse Katherine Prentice. Her knowledge in healthcare is noticeable to others around her. She leads with a kind heart and is not afraid to share information and guidance on concerning and current issues.

During the nomination submission, some information was lost from technical error. Below is more that should be considered.
I have a strong desire to be a part of change in our country in the field of health. I have 6 years of surgical nursing experience in the hospital setting and am currently at Brigham and Women’s Trauma 1 Hospital in Boston. I also cofounded a nonprofit in 2019 with the mission to raise awareness within the community of the importance of preventative health by establishing mutual partnerships, utilizing accessible platforms, encouraging individual perception, and empowering through education of physical activity, nutrition, and mental health. The biggest focus for me while beginning this non-profit from the ground up was changing the Indianapolis community’s health. In 2023, I stepped away from my position with Through You, as I now work for Harvard research and educational hospital. My goals with this shift were to grow in my surgical skills and understand brain cancer more. I have an unyielding goal to serve the public so that as a whole, we can live healthier and longer lives. Being that I have witnessed immediate family members working in Big Pharma as Executive Director and Data Strategist for Clinical Development, I know closely what it means to be in this corner of the world functioning at a high level. I know what it means to bring a drug to market the right way. With that, I will say during Covid, myself and others in Pharma witness a drug being brought to the market in the absolute worst way. This was insidious behavior amongst the world of Pharma and within our corrupt entities of FDA, NIH, CDC, and within our own government at the time. While not all pharma is bad, we can say the same for our hospitals. Not all hospital care is bad. What should be noted is ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH and is exhaustingly corrupt, financially. We are losing sight of our patients as people are overwhelmed with chronic, preventable disease. It is not sustainable. I chose to work in the clinical field through nursing, hoping to avoid, what I have long since noticed, and what we now refer to as: “corporate capture” within Pharma. My role in the clinical settings of hospitals can be argued (at times) to be no better ethically than a career choice in Pharmaceuticals. I carry with me an intense and vast bank of observations and knowledge in the Pharma industry and direct work in the Operating Room of major hospitals, seeing and helping patients at their dying worst. Six years is more than enough time for me to know I must shift into a space permanently where I am making lasting change to our broken systems for a healthier America. I recognize while cutting edge cancer research is important, equally critical, if not more now than ever, is preventative health: a cleaner, safer food industry, less pharmaceutical use, and cleaner environment/products is essential and vital to our existence. Thank you- Katherine Prentice, RN BSN
I endorse Kat prentice for this position, she is the best person for the job. Not only is she the most qualified and ready to take on this position she continually shows she cares about the people she works with/for and interacts with on a daily basis. As a member of the U.S. Navy, there is nobody else I would rather have as a part of this department, Katherine continues to use her current position to learn everything she can about the human body as well as teach individuals to continue that stream of knowledge and experience. Again, she is by and far the most qualified and best person for this position showing her superior level of leadership and professionalism.
Endorsing Katherine means that I am supporting an individual that has passion in her expertise, inspires others, and possesses all knowledge and leadership skills needed to excel at any avenue she takes on. Specifically, she has shown her ability to create positive change in our communities by leading a local non-profit in Indianapolis named “Through You Corp” which originated as “Canal Squad”. Through You Corp. is a 501c3 organization filed with the state of Indiana that emphasizes the importance of preventative health by establishing mutual partnerships, utilizing accessible platforms, encouraging individual perception, and empowering through education of physical activity, nutrition, and mental health. Her vast knowledge of health and wellness inspired the creation of this group which transformed into a nonprofit to encapsulate the importance of holistic health and wellness. She shares her passions for her field regularly by providing educational resources to her audiences that sheds a light on the impact and power we have to make changes ourselves that positively impact our health journeys. Further, she also has shown time and time again the resiliency she has when it comes to helping others and being there when it matters most. Knowing Katherine for the past 4 years, it has been amazing working alongside her with Through You Corp. and seeing her qualifications first hand at leading and educating individuals on the importance of health. I can’t say enough good things about her. She would be a very strong asset to MAHA.
I am very proud to offer my endorsement for Katherine Prentice as she steps forward to advocate for health and wellness. Having known Katherine for many years, I can say with confidence that her passion, vision, and commitment to transformative change is unparalleled. We have a serious chronic disease epidemic going on in this country. As a registered nurse myself, I see how the current healthcare model needs to change for preventing chronic disease. She thinks it is of upmost importance to be focusing on prevention techniques, vs trying to treat the chronically ill after we are already sick. Katherine possesses not only the knowledge, but also the relentless drive necessary to make a profound and lasting impact in the MAHA movement . She wants the best for humanity. I have no doubt that she will be a catalyst for propelling our country in the right direction. Let’s make America healthy again!!
