Organization name(s) and position(s) for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

The nominee is particularly interested in roles within the Department of Education that support families in exercising greater choice and involvement in their children’s education. Positions within the Office of Parental Rights or initiatives that promote flexible, family-driven learning pathways align well with their background and goals. Their focus is on helping families navigate educational options beyond traditional models to better meet their specific needs.

This individual supports policies that enhance parental rights in education, expand school choice options, and promote flexible learning pathways for families. Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

    1. Is Competent in their subject areas of expertise and for the relevant agency

The nominee brings extensive competence in education policy, community-building, and alternative learning methods, rooted in their unique upbringing of being unschooled in rural Alaska. This background instilled a deep commitment to self-directed, experiential learning. Their success with the Albany Pop-Up Adventure Playground, which grew from a small gathering to a popular monthly event with over 270 attendees, demonstrates their ability to create impactful, community-driven initiatives that foster connections and enrich educational experiences.

    2. Is Honest about conflict of interests, corporate capture, and how decisions are made

Honesty is fundamental to the nominee’s approach. Their life has been shaped by a commitment to transparency and integrity, especially when confronting challenging societal expectations. For years, the nominee worked to fit into conventional norms that didn’t align with their values. Over the last several years, however, their experiences in community-building and advocacy have solidified their dedication to speaking up for what’s right, even when it challenges popular opinion.

    3. Is Respectful of freedom of speech, the constitution, and the right to dissent

The nominee deeply respects the rights of individuals to make their own educational choices, particularly families who choose alternative paths. They understand that such families often feel marginalized in mainstream education discussions. The nominee believes in the fundamental rights of free speech and the importance of respecting diverse perspectives.

    4. Has Integrity to serve the interests of people, not corporate interests

Integrity is at the core of the nominee’s work. They are dedicated to acting transparently and ensuring that their actions align closely with their values, always prioritizing the well-being of families and communities over external interests. Upholding integrity means that they are committed to advocating for what’s right, regardless of opposition or pressures.

    5. Has Courage to blow the whistle on and discipline those who betray the public trust

The nominee has consistently demonstrated courage in defending family rights and advocating for educational freedom. Their work with the Albany Pop-Up Adventure Playground and their involvement in organizing rallies to support educational and parental rights during a difficult time underscore their resolve to stand by families and to protect the choices they value.

    6. Has a Proven Record of getting positive results for the people they serve

The nominee has a proven record of championing family-centered, community-driven initiatives that bring meaningful results. From creating the Albany Pop-Up Adventure Playground—a popular event that engaged hundreds of families—to leading grassroots efforts for educational choice, the nominee’s dedication to serving families is clear. Their consistent focus on practical, community-centered solutions underscores their effectiveness in creating lasting positive impacts for the families and individuals they serve.

Yes, I’m Moira! I forgot I’m listed as ReblMom here—that was my old business.

I think the “like” function might be a bit glitchy—haha! I only got 4 likes in the first 3 days, but it finally seems to be catching up.

That link is my blog. I write about my views on education, with a primary focus on helping families deschool after leaving public education. It’s essentially a “detox” process to go through before starting homeschooling, allowing families to begin fresh without carrying over some of the more harmful aspects of the old model.

i have lived and understand the philosophies. My sister has returned to teaching after retiring and the kids are learning to read phonetically from her and doing great. she had to tell the school she was doing it her way. the parents went to austin and said just give them the books, stop all this online stuff, they would jot listen. that is why i made a contract for myself, but basicly we are going to have to have federal mandates to go in and do what needs to be done, i think. Otherwise the thik tank is going to swallow us. the kids need us now

Please consider casting a vote for me. I built an event in Albany, NY, from 2016-2019 before the lockdowns (video in the links), and my dedication for the last nine years has been about supporting the children of the next generation and helping families rethink education by stepping outside the current system. I was unschooled myself until I became a Certified Rolfer, so I have a unique perspective on education. My views align with the work of John Taylor Gatto (you might know his book Dumbing Us Down) and Ivan Illich’s Deschooling Society. There is so much potential for our education center, but we can’t get there using the same mindset that created the current system. Please share your thoughts—I’d love to talk!

Will you please let me know how to add and edit the application?
Thank you  God bless you

Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s possible at the moment. We’ll need to share updates in the comments for now. You could try emailing any updates to the admin—if they have time, they may be able to post them. It’s a new platform, and I think they’re receiving a lot of interest.

I made your votes go to 16. I don’t see where or if i can make a comment. see if it stays on there. do you think it is alright to advertise for votes on social media? also can you try to vote for me? I am scared to ask anyone to vote for me if it isn’t working. Love and kisses

I believe it’s perfectly fine for you to share on social media. In fact, I think it’s important for more people to know how they can get involved.

This is the public commenting spot! If you can share your nominee page I would love to take a look!!

I only can find it if i go on education on the education page. Jo Ann Cauthron goes with the cauthron1. I guess i could try to put my name in the search bar and see if it comes up
