I support policies that enhance accessibility, equity, and transparency in educational and mental health services. My expertise lies in advocating for policies that ensure fair assessments, appropriate interventions, and comprehensive support for children with diverse learning and developmental needs. I also value policies that protect family rights to understand and participate actively in their children’s educational planning, particularly through transparent communication and parent-centered approaches.
Additionally, I support the integration of social-emotional learning, mental health resources in schools, and policies that address the needs of neurodiverse students. I am committed to a holistic approach in education and mental health policy, believing that such measures empower students and families alike and promote a public service model focused on people over institutional agendas.
Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government
As a school psychologist/school neuropsychologist with extensive experience in assessments, program development, and individualized educational support, I am highly competent in my field and deeply committed to serving the public with integrity. My expertise spans working with children from preschool through young adulthood, with a focus on complex needs such as autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and other developmental challenges. Through both direct services and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), I strive to ensure every child receives the individualized support necessary to reach their full potential.
I approach my work with honesty, transparency, and a dedication to ethical practices, always prioritizing the interests of children and families over institutional or corporate gain. My involvement in IEEs has built strong, trust-based relationships with attorneys who advocate for marginalized students, reinforcing my commitment to fairness and equity. I am unafraid to address systemic issues or advocate for families in challenging situations, demonstrating the courage to speak up when practices fall short of serving children’s best interests.
My proven track record of achieving positive outcomes is underscored by my approach of advocating “one child at a time,” a philosophy that has positively impacted thousands of children and contributed to broader systemic change. I respect each family's right to participate actively in their child’s educational journey, upholding their freedom to question and engage in the process. In addition, my commitment to lifelong learning, including advanced doctoral studies and specialized certifications, ensures that I bring the highest level of knowledge and professionalism to my work.
Through competence, integrity, and a focus on public service, I am well-prepared to serve the interests of the American people in this role, advocating for transparent, accountable, and people-centered practices that prioritize children’s well-being over corporate or bureaucratic interests.
