Agency or agencies for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

  • Department of Health and Human Services

Organization name(s) and position(s) for which nominator feels nominee is best suited:

Policies which the nominator knows the nominee supports or in which they have expertise:

Based on my background as an Emergency Department Technician and EMT, I support and have expertise in policies focused on improving healthcare outcomes, preventive care, and public health education. Here are the key areas where my experience aligns with important health policies:

Patient-Centered Care and Health Equity: I believe in policies that ensure equitable, high-quality care for all patients, particularly in emergency settings. Working in a Level One Trauma Center, I see firsthand the importance of timely, compassionate care, and I support measures that address healthcare disparities and improve access to emergency services for underserved communities.
Healthcare Workforce Development and Standards: With years of experience in emergency care, I advocate for policies that maintain rigorous training and certification standards for healthcare workers. Policies that support continuous education and advanced training in areas such as trauma response, stroke care, and crisis management are essential for providing effective emergency care.
Preventive Health and Public Health Education: I strongly support policies focused on preventive health and educating the public on managing chronic conditions through lifestyle changes. Every day, I advise patients on diet, exercise, and preventive measures to address co-morbidities and improve their health. Policies that promote these preventative measures can reduce avoidable ER visits and improve long-term health outcomes.
Mental Health Crisis Intervention: Given my experience in de-escalating situations in the ER, I support policies that expand mental health resources and crisis intervention training for healthcare providers. Policies that integrate mental health professionals into emergency settings can provide better care for patients experiencing mental health crises and reduce the burden on emergency departments.
Emergency Preparedness and Response: I believe in policies that strengthen emergency preparedness and resource allocation for healthcare facilities. My background in emergency response has shown me the importance of well-equipped, well-staffed facilities with clear protocols to handle critical health emergencies. Supporting these preparedness measures can improve patient outcomes in high-stakes situations.
My expertise and daily experience align with these policy areas, and I am dedicated to advancing healthcare practices that focus on patient wellness, preventive care, and strong emergency response systems.

Patient welfare is my top priority, and I consistently make ethical choices to support their health and well-being. I am an independent politically, with no high-level role that could present a conflict of interest, which allows me to maintain an unbiased, patient-centered perspective. I worked with Tyler in the ER at Banner Desert ER in Mesa, Az and being one of the busiest ERs in the country it is easy to get lost and not know what to do. It is also easy to get lost or let things get out of control when you are dealing with that kind of volume of people. Tyler always was cool calm and collected. The biggest thing that stood out to me was tyler not only had a smile on at all times if he needed help or wanted to get better at something he went to that individual in the ER who did it best and learned from them. He was not afraid to ask for help. He also knew his limits and knew where he could improve and would with out being told or forced to do so! Tyler will make a great addition to this team and do amazing things with in the role he is hired for

I want to also say this, some of this is repeated, but my drive to work for this administration and help transform America has been the only thing on my mind since finding out I can apply for it.
My passion for healthcare and public service drives me to support the MAHA movement’s mission because I want to Make America Healthy Again. The effect of preventable diseases is seen every day in the emergency room and inequities in care are observed and gaps in mental health resources are noted. I deeply commit to improving healthcare outcomes and promoting preventive care and guaranteeing equitable access to care for all Americans.

I recognize what works in our healthcare system and what desperately needs change because I have developed the skills and understanding from years of experience in high-pressure emergency settings. My experience in some of the busiest emergency departments equips me to tackle systemic challenges with confidence and integrity and compassion. My commitment needs to be elevated.

I am excited to serve this movement and the new administration because I believe in its goals. My perspective as an EMT and Emergency Department Technician equips me to craft actionable policies that strengthen emergency response systems and expand access to mental health care and promote preventive health measures to reduce avoidable illnesses: I actively contribute to improving health outcomes.

This movement aims to create a healthcare system that works for every American and lasts for generations to come. That vision will be made a reality as I am prepared to dedicate myself fully to this effort.

I’ve known Tyler for ten years. He is very passionate about healthcare and his patients and would be a great addition to MAHA.
