Duplicate Nominations

I’ve noticed multiple nominations for the same individuals who have garnered votes within the same nomination category however, I would like to suggest that if a nominee has already been nominated, then the new person suggesting the same person, be given a flag stating “this person has already been nominated” and then redirected to the already existing nomination to cast a vote. Additionally, I would like to see the already duplicate nominations and their corresponding votes be rolled into a singular nomination for said person, this would allow for a more accurate tally when the time comes and make it far easier to see/find if this person has already been nominated by another user.

And what if we think the person is better suited for a different role than the role that someone else has nominated said person for?

I was referring to duplicates within the same nomination category (I will edit to make that more clear), but you bring up a valid point, maybe a tag that states “this nominee has been nominated in multiple categories, please select one” could help with that issue.

My goodness, you would think your comment would get nothing but hearts and reposts for example, Colion Noir For ATF Director, the person that nominated him did not spell his name correctly. I’ve reached out and requested that they correct the spelling of his name, but I agree with you.

But what if we wanna nominate this person in another category? I honestly wonder if people read what they type. You didn’t suggest deleting the people what you said. Made perfect sense. Somebody nominated for the ATF director. I don’t see them being re-nominated in the public works department or land & agriculture. We need an ATF director and his name is Colion Noir

You know what… I just realized. We can’t nominate anymore.

Well I did just post it fairly recently, I honestly was expecting it to not pick up any traction at all, the fact that some of y’all figured it was worth a look is something I’ll take as a small victory. Ironically it was the nomination ATF Director that was the catalyst for my post in the first place, tho it was in reference to Brandon Herrera’s multiple nominations rather than Colion.

To be frank I’d be perfect fine with either of them in the position, since I’m fairly confident they share the same goal in respect to that agency, the same goal many of us share as well, I opted for Brandon since he has a bit more name recognition, due to his Congressional run and endorsements from individuals such as, Eli Crane and Matt Gaetz during said run and would likely support his nomination for said position. I think the most ideal scenario would be both Brandon and Colion as director and deputy director respectfully.

That said while I do agree and I typically only saw people being nominated for a singular position, doing a bit more digging I did come across a few whom were being nominated across various non corresponding categories, like Vivek for example hence why I acquiesced to Mr. Jones’s comment on the matter, since there was evidence to support his argument.

And if this platform is actually gonna be taken seriously and used in the consideration for a nomination, we don’t want shady voting going on or we’re right back to the 2021 election. yeah
Absolutely
I do like both as well, and as you stated they would both approach us problem violation if you will of our rights in the correct manner. I just tend to lean toward.Colion .
