Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government

    1) Is Competent... She was a math teacher for 30 years, getting two masters degrees and raising 5 kids in the meantime. Her students consistently scored at the top of their class in math and many have told me over the years that she was their favorite teacher because she could make math approachable and took the time with each student to make sure they understood instead of leaving them behind. She now is a school counselor, and gets to see the other side of students lives and the hardships they face that impact their school life.

    2) Is Honest... After I graduated high school I learned more about the inner workings of the school system and the politics that go along with it. My mom would tell me how decisions were made at the administrative level that didnt make sense. Because of this she represented her department at school board meetings so she could have a say. She often disagreed with how things were handled and let them know. She negotiated on behalf of her colleagues to make things right.

    3) Is Respectful... As her career as a teacher got longer, the more liberal ideals started to indoctrinate into the culture with students at school. Though she disagreed with some of her students, she would always listen to them because it was their right to free speech. At a certain level she respected when people would buck the system but also would hold the line. youre free to say that, but Im also free to disagree. And we can discuss why.. Often times differences were resolved very quickly without having to bring it to the principal.

    4) Has Integrity... She has a husband and five children. She had to work very hard to achieve what she has and has never rubbed elbows with higher up administrators to move up the ladder. She wanted it done purely on merit. Shes not one to bullshit and calls out bullshit when she sees it because she has five kids she knows that what she does sets the example for how theyll be. And she wants the best for her kids and her students, and always stands on that.

    5) Has Courage... During covid and the the mask mandates her gut was telling her that this wasnt right. She researched on her own and ultimately came to the conclusion that her gut was correct, with research to back it up. She wouldnt wear her mask, even though she was disciplined for it she stuck to her guns. She would share her opinion even when the easy thing would be to shut-up and fall in line.

    6) Has a Proven Record... Her students consistently scored at the top of their class for math over her years as a math teacher. Any teacher will tell you that teaching for 30 years is impressive. The longer you teach the stronger the temptation to go through the motions until retirement gets. She fought that temptation and showed up every day ready to teach and her record shows that.

  • I accept the nomination. Thank you for the beautiful recommendation. I want to invest in our future. In fact, I believe I been called to be apart of the team that leads education in our beautiful country. Three decades in the education industry has shown me the ebbs and flows in pedagogy. Our teachers are working harder than any decade before them. We need to be hiring the best and the brightest AND rewarding them with respect, compensation, and professionalism. I want to be part of the momentum that will bring education in the United States to the top in the world.
