A safe healthy food system….He would better answer this question but I think if Bobby listened to some of the attached links he would immediately realize they have very similar aspirations. Joe has plant knowledge that can completely transform our food system. It can also help create the regenerative agriculture that RFK Jr has mentioned.
Nominator's thoughts on what would make this nominee a valuable member of a future Trump Unity Government
1) Is Competent ... 2) Is Honest... 3) Is Respectful ... 4) Has Integrity ... 5) Has Courage ... 6) Has a Proven Record...
Joe is dedicated to the cause like no other spending 99% of his time away from home in a world wide search of great new plants for a bright future. He is involved in teaching and demonstrating in all societies for a more healthy and sustainable way to feed our families, many know his name and support him and trust him as he has helped many and shared with many more.
He has proven his courage when going to remote sometime dangerous areas of the world to find exceptional seeds to bring to the world so we can all benefit from a greater diversity of plants and in turn have a better stability in our health and diets.
He has a perspective on the food plant resources of the world unlike that of any other living person. He has made over a thousand expeditions to over 160 countries identifying the plants that will provide food for humanity’s future.
Joseph is an indefatigable explorer of new plant species from throughout the world with an encyclopedic knowledge of botany. He has boundless energy and many excellent ideas on how to develop organic, sustainable and economic agriculture. He will be a valuable member of any team wanting to improve US agriculture.
I’ve known Joseph for over thirty years, and it’s impossible to imagine someone with a greater depth of knowledge in his field and genuine passion for his subject matter. He’s a polyglot, world traveler and explorer, experienced and capable public speaker, advocate for food-plant diversity and ethnobotanist, who brings to the table access to an extensive network of like-minded, world experts he’s been cultivating for decades. He possesses staggering ability of recall on plant species nomenclature and identification. His infectious enthusiasm and charisma are additional admirable qualities.
“Joseph Simcox, with his unparalleled expertise in seeds, grains, and diverse plant life, would be an invaluable asset to the Department of Agriculture, guiding sustainable practices and ecological innovation to foster a healthier planet.”
Joe’s love of plants is one thing, but the reason he says he loves plants is because of what they do for humans. His belief is that God gave humanity endless riches, and that us modern humans have squandered and forgotten so much of that. Joe disproves the common beliefs of overpopulation and their inevitable destruction of the earth rather he sees some of the biggest challenges facing mankind as the easiest to solve. He says man’s present fault is simply not living more synergistically with nature. I believe he has a vision which is transformative in bringing Americans back to nature, to him a great source of health, wealth and blessings from the Good Lord above.
His participation would bring a plethora of knowledge to the forefront of America. He has an abundance of mental and physical energy to persevere in any project that he undertakes.
There is hardly a man or woman who I know of that has traveled farther or wider seeking alternate food sources (seeds, edible roots, etc) than Joe. I’ve had the pleasure of growing and field testing many of his finds.
His passion for finding and sharing crops outside of the top 3 tainted GMO-basterdized American crops is bar none.
He has truly dedicated his life to finding and sharing indigenous, unadulterated alternatives to our modern day dna-altering, chemical-laden garbage.
If Joseph Simcox’s voice were amplified in the global conversation about food and health, it could spark a transformative shift in how we approach sustainability and nutrition. His advocacy for plant biodiversity and sustainable agriculture offers a path to a future where food systems are not just efficient, but resilient, equitable, and deeply connected to the land. By prioritizing diverse, locally adapted crops over industrial monocultures, his vision could help restore ecosystems, reduce dependency on harmful agricultural practices, and provide communities with more sustainable, nutrient-dense food sources.
His emphasis on rediscovering and preserving ancient, underutilized plant species could fundamentally change how we think about food security, helping to create more self-sufficient communities and resilient agricultural practices worldwide. In a time when global food systems are increasingly strained, his voice could be the catalyst for rethinking how we grow, share, and consume food, ultimately leading to healthier individuals, stronger communities, and a more sustainable world.
He has been passionate about what he does since a young age, having dedicated his entire life to the preservation, propagation and dissemination of biodiversity on the planet, becoming a reference and inspiration for everyone who knows his work, being the most recommended person in this area, if you can, support this invaluable mission for all of us
Joe would be an excellent candidate for the Department of Agriculture! We need more diversity in our food supply, and he would be able to steer our country in the right direction.
Joseph Simcox, known as “The Botanical Explorer,” would be an invaluable addition to the Department of Agriculture. His extensive global research in plant biodiversity and sustainable food systems, combined with his practical expertise in identifying and documenting novel food crops, uniquely positions him to help transform America’s agricultural landscape. Throughout his career, Simcox has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to developing resilient food systems while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and scientific rigor. His vision for integrating traditional botanical knowledge with modern agricultural practices could play a crucial role in advancing regenerative agriculture and ensuring a more secure and sustainable food future for our nation.
I highly recommend Joseph Simcox. He can help to re-shape government policy to encourage organic farming and small family farms and to stop the destruction of farm-land by agribusiness corporations that pollute our soil with GMO crops and toxic pesticides.
I highly recommend Joseph Simcox for a position in the department of Agriculture. He passionately wants to revitalize the American Family, the American Family Farm and small-town America by using God’s enormous gift of biodiversity. He will be a fantastic addition to this department as it moves to Make America Healthy Again.
Joe has the vision, experience, and leadership skills to strengthen family farms and greatly expand the ability of all Americans to access healthy foods.
