I would love to see someone with real plant & food expertise get a seat at the table. Someone who is hopeful because of the truth of food supply vs population. Someone who is not asking for attention by triggering our fears, but by appealing to our reason and offering meaningful solutions

Joseph has tremendous energy for a goal of introducing a wide array of new food plants to take advantage of special crops for special climates and situations. His vision is adding much more diversity to our food supply so that there is room for millions more of small scale producers. There are very few people that will have his drive and ambition to make food production more diverse with more jobs for producers with far less impact on the overall environment.

Headhunting is the most crucial aspect of this incoming administration. Elon, check. Vivek, check. Vance, check. Rfk, check. We have many fabulous minds filling critical roles. If we think about our own agricultural food security, I honestly say that LITTLE emphasis has been given to that topic. RFK is doing an exceptional job at pointing out all the health problems America faces from unnecessary chemicals in our foods, etc. I would like that conversation furthered to really note how very frail our American agricultural system is!

We simply have not invested enough in our Willing and hard-working American farmers to ensure we have food security! I was once told we in America have a shockingly limited food supply, truth be told… (I won’t share what this expert told me, it was too disturbing!). We often use the phrase, “ Drill baby, drill!”. Well, energy is fabulous, but we certain should not forget, “grow, baby, grow!”.

If I am filling cabinet positions, I would want the best. I would want someone contributing in the Food & Ag department who really has decades of hard won knowledge and experience and creativity! I would only hire the hardest of workers that tosses and turns and twists at night like President Trump, brainstorming between a few hours of sleep. I would want someone who has had his/her share of bloody hands from laboring in the fields, and someone who can just as easily lead a large team in an important business setting. I would look someone eloquent, who isn’t a bore to listen to. Enthusiasm and charisma make all the difference, every single time!

Joseph Simcox is my brother. I certainly wouldn’t recommend him if I thought he weren’t among the most qualified we have to choose from in this World. I’m actually not known to be that nice to just say sweet words! Fact. With Joe, this administration would get someone who is not only a bibliophile who has raked over thousands and thousands of esoteric food/ag/plant books in this life. He has sought out and tracked down and befriended some of mankind’s greatest seed-savers and biodiversity heroes! My brother is getting on in years now, in his 60s, so we are talking about decades of knowing the greats who have now passed on. This is one of the greatest resources we have as people! The lessons have been passed on to my brother and he has added to them and had them influence his understanding of agriculture and seed security.

He has led thousands of trips, including very hazardous explorations to the remotest regions of the world to seek out rare edibles. He has almost been charged by wild boar and has had high altitude sickness and probably malaria and who knows what else in his never ending work to help with food security!

I could go on, but I believe this will suffice.

p.s. just as Trump says he sleeps with his chart that saved his life, my brother often was known for putting seeds under his pillow.

The little sister, Susan Simcox

Joseph Simcox is the only man I know who is highly recommended in all stages of knowledge in agriculture…you can’t go wrong with him in charge…

This man is highly qualified and would be a great asset to this committee.

For RFK, Elon, Vivek, Vance and even Trump to consider momentarily.
Inextricably linked into why Mr. Simcox would be an invaluable asset to ensure America’s Food Security. Was it good Ole’ Albert who said, " Intellectuals solve problems; geniuses prevent them".
