  • Nina Teicholz, PhD is one of the leading experts in the deficiencies of the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans (https://www.metabolicrevolution.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Primer-on-DGA.pdf) and the conflicts of interest involved in their creation.

She should be in the USDA, helping to steer the DGFA committee towards writing guidelines which are based on science, not conflicts of interest.

Nina Teicholz, PhD has been a beacon of light even in the face of adversity from the status quo. Her work is seminal in my field of food and health. She has identified and spoken out against corporate conflict wherever it has surfaced, and she has been fearless in helping us all become better educated on the science and the politics of the current food-health system.

Excellent choice. Policy driven by real facts not by industries desire.
Her book on Fats was eye opening. She will most likely need to have body guards.

Nina’s expertise in our nation’s food guidelines is to be sought-after! She has a complete working knowledge of its history, conflicts of interest, and lobbyist’s influence. She WOULD BE AMONG THE TOP people for this nomination!!! Thank you.

I would definitely like to see Nina put in a position where she can help connect dots for those in charge of research/education about nutrition health.

She literally wrote the book on the problems with the ‘research’ that informed prior misguided guidance from government.

And she’s already moved huge numbers of people, at a grassroots level, to participate in government processes by contributing feedback when opportunities arose. These folks were able to get their recommended way of eating (WOE) at least mentioned in a new government document – but unfortunately, that document also included the pretence that its writer(s) had searched for topic-relevant research but found none. (Despite the same body having reported on substantial topic-relevant research in the past.)

Nina would know who to go to and where to point, regarding flaws in the nutritional research on which current guidelines are based. And she’s clearly motivated across time to work to improve the quality of nutrition research/education for the sake of Americans and the world.
