The foster care system is in dire need of help. ALL of the children who enter the foster care system have experienced trauma in one way, shape, or form. Very few are receiving services to address the trauma. Many children begin exhibiting negative behaviors while in foster or adoptive homes. Often times, they also inherit mental illness from their biological family. A foster or adoptive parent who has experience raising children within the foster care system must be on a committee to tackle the problems these families face.

I totally agree with your Christisue. We must take care of the most vulnerable among us, our children, our elderly, and our animals…and I mean no disrespect for mentioning animals in the same post with people, as they are also very vulnerable and we must protect all these beautiful beings. It’s our responsibility.

We should do a thorough investigation on all cps workers and if it shows they lie have a history of any negligence ECT get ride of them and procicute when needed help keep families together with better help and alternatives instead of snatching them up and they get lost in the system used abused and become another statistic to many times they realistically kid nap children from there homes we need better protocols in place time and time again for way to long has corruption in this organization has been brought to light maybe completely desemated and restart or refund a new group of ppl

I think it’s fairly reasonable to nominate someone as long as they have a public email listed, because they can quickly get their name removed if they were to disagree with the nomination.
That being said, your route is more polite. Except people of a certain notoriety may not respond to you and me if we message them

Athena1 yes. Perhaps you can suggest a category on its own for Animal Protection or something. In my opinion one should be added! Their wellbeing is our responsibility.

Christisue this agency is so corrupt what would be your thoughts on dismantling it and creating a new one founded on the same or some other principles? The name itself gives me the creeps after learning the truth about it. Im sorry for throwing this out there but it is SUCH an important issue and deserves attention. This brings up the point; do we keep and overhaul all of these agencyi(es) or dissolve them and start new in some cases? I am involved in other important areas but would like to leave this for you to think about. I will be adding a Site Feedback post asking about “keep or dismantle” certain agencies. Thank you!

JMT, you are so right! Many are corrupt within the system. I have first-hand experience with lies, gaslighting, taking words out of context, and dismissing medical documentation to push a case a certain way. Money seems to be the bottom line for making decisions, not the well-being of the children or families. To be honest, I think dissolving the agencies and starting new would be appropriate. It’s human nature to stick to our old ways of doing things, it’s hard to break habits. If we overhaul the current system instead of starting new, I’m afraid many will slip back into the old system inadvertently.

Hmmm. I was just gonna post about how any Fed agencies dissolved will be kicked down to the state level to take care of. Yes! Some agencies like this can be replaced with PRIVATE companies. If so, the States role would be even smaller (regulating and oversight of these private firms). When DOGE tells the states that the Fed agency went bye bye, the states should be prepared to create a counterpart on the state level if necessary or open it up the private agencies maybe offering state or fed funding? I see Isaiah 117 runs on contributions. That must be a struggle sometimes!

The foster care system is divided into a combination of federal, state, and local organizations, all working together to serve children and families in need. The Isaiah 117 House looks to be a wonderful organization for emergency care. They must be good at what they are doing as I counted 13 states with locations.
States who are failing in this area should look at other states who are doing things right. I think the federal arm of this system needs to be more intentional with discovering what is working well in some states and duplicate that in the states which are not doing so well.
Beyond foster care, the child will either be returning to their original home or an adoptive home. Services should not stop there. Therapy for the trauma and behavioral health will almost always be needed. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Foster and adoptive families need support to care for the traumatized children that they have welcomed into their home. Believe me, these children require a lot of care and attention.

Committee’s are a waste of time. Businesses dont have Committee’s. The business at hand with Department of Children and Families and CPS that have been proven to many times to be in a ruthless cycle of US CITIZEN PARENT’S rights and custody over their own legal citizen children TRANSFERRED to degenerate abusive sex trafficking NGO and individuals which in many cases changes the status of the children to coersed slave sub citizen status of which they have no say or control.
There are two obvious solutions to fix this.

Disband and rebuild. Remove all agency funding incentives for the volume of of minors placed with non blood related family. For this is obviously deliberate and evil.

Make Alex Jones the head of it for 90 days to recommend all policy and procedures foward going.

I THINK MOST ARE PRIVATE CORPORATIONS NOT RUN BY STATE GOV. IN ALL OF TEXAS ONLY TWO COUNTIES ARE STILL RUN BY GOV. THE REST ARE PRIVATE. SCARY!!!
