Michele was the 2024 GOP candidate for Superintendent of North Carolina's Department of Public Instruction (DPI). She narrowly lost the election, but that was due to the very poor performance of the GOP candidate for Governor (Mark Robinson), as that adversely affected several down-ballot candidates, like Michele.

Morrow for Tomorrow! If you think those old tweets were a call to violence, then we should also acknowledge Waters, Harris, Schumer, Pelosi, et all. The tweets in question were mid-covid, while we were locked down and shut out of school, and we were all rightfully upset and wanted to see all the two-faced politicians held accountable. If you don’t see this yet, then you’re still in the way - bloviating.
Sorry, she is not a good fit for this position on the national stage. There simply have to be better, more qualified candidates. Her record does NOT speak for itself, and I would seriously caution against voting for her.
Although I voted Republican in NC, I never cast a vote for Michelle Morrow. She is crass, reckless, and likely mentally unstable. She has made many disturbing and threatening public comments, including asking for the public execution of various elected officials. She’s a nutjob. Do not hire this woman.
So because we were going through a crisis, that excuses her for calling for violence? If she’s not mentally fit to keep levelheaded during a crisis, then she should definitely not be in a position of power

Lynn: Yes, the reason she did not win NC was due to the GOP governor candidate losing by 15 points. Several good GOP down ballot lost due to that, and she was oen of them.
Love to see Michele Morrow from my home state of NC nominated to the US Department of Education. Michele is a strong advocate for school choice and has been working to keep NC Schools free from inappropriate materials including CRT, SEL, gender ideology, and books with pornagraphic images or descriptions. She is pro-American and anti-Marxist. She wants to make education great again and she believes strongly that education belongs to the states. She believes every child has a right to a free and appropriate education including students with special needs at one end of the learning spectrum all the way to the profoundly gifted students who are often forced out of the public schools due to their highly atypical needs (it is currently considered not equitable to serve the needs of our most gifted students because that is seen as “giving them more” instead of giving them what they need. There is also a general attitude that “everyone is gifted” and even at our NC Governor’s School, they taught that gifted students have “intellectual privilege.”)
Michele is a champion for school safety and financial accountability. She wants to ensure excellent teachers get paid what they deserve.
