Nina Teicholz

I strongly believe that Nina should be chosen to lead the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans. For over a decade, she has been at the forefront of advocating for transparency, honesty, and integrity in nutrition science and policy. Her dedication to uncovering the truth and challenging outdated or misleading guidelines demonstrates her commitment to public health and well-being.

Nina’s work highlights the need for dietary recommendations that are grounded in sound science, free from bias, and focused on empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Her leadership would bring a fresh perspective, accountability, and a focus on evidence-based guidelines that truly serve the American people.

Nina Teicholz has been THE leading voice fighting for reform of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines (DGAs) process for over a decade. She has poured thousands of hours into understanding the science of nutrition and thousands more hours trying to untangle the DGA policy thicket.

In the process, she’s won high praise—not just from esteemed nutrition scientists and researchers with decades of experience actually reversing obesity and diabetes but also from numerous members of the DGA committee itself.

She’s a deep thinker; a meticulous researcher; a diplomatic ambassador; a non-ideologue; and a kind person to boot.

There is no one on planet Earth better suited to reforming these guidelines.

Putting Nina in charge of this enterprise could literally save the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

Let’s do this—MAHA!

Nina has been a beacon of light regarding my own health…. Learning from her vast knowledge of the subject has been pivotal. She has been so instrumental in this change. My life has literally been saved due to my dietary changes. I’ve prayed for 4 years, since I was lucky enough to find this info thru resources like Nina … that HUGE changes would be made in our food system to get us back to where we were 50 + years ago when it really started the change with the recommendation of seed oil use. I yell daily to try to spread the word, but unfortunately, I feel like I rarely get a listen. I always feel like I’m standing by a train track watching the train come down the track…. getting ready to hit someone and I’m yelling so loud but they never hear and they just get ran over. Over and over and over again. I’ve lost too many loved ones and I see too many children getting so sick. We need NINA. We need loud voices or we’re gonna lose our entire population. VOTE NINA FOR CHANGE!

I enthusiastically support Nina Teicholz for reforming US Dietary Guidelines. Her book, “The Big Fat Surprise” is well researched and details how we’ve all been misled to believe real food humans had been consuming for millions of years was unhealthy for us while promoting grains and vegetables. My experience to switching to a high protein, high fat diet has helped me lose weight and stopped the progression of my psoriatic arthritis. I no longer have the crippling pain in my joints I had been experiencing. She also has examples of how the “science” had been manipulated to show the results the researchers wanted rather than what the data actually revealed. Ms. Teicholz’s involvement is a huge step in what will no doubt be an arduous reeducation effort in the United States. We’ve been lied to for decades and changing the paradigm will be difficult.

Nina Teicholz would be an excellent choice to work on the US Dietary Guidelines. Her years of thorough research and her continued dedication to truly follow the science would ensure that those guidelines would steer our citizens towards truly healthy food choices instead of being guidelines sold to the highest bidder in the food and agriculture industries.

Thanks to her books and podcasts I have turned my health around and haven’t looked back!

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 10 years ago. With that wake-up call I changed how I eat to a low carb, high healthy fat diet. Within 3 months my A1c was in the prediabetic range. At one year my A1c was normal and has remained so ever since. Nina’s book came out at about the time that I was making this lifestyle change and I was very impressed by her work. Her guidance was in line with the dietary changes I’d made – the changes that reversed a myriad of chronic heath problems that I had previously experienced. I’ve watched her fight - and be ignored & shunned - as she’s tried to enlighten the powers that be to make positive changes to what I believe are agenda driven dietary guidelines. With RFK in charge, maybe health can become the focus again. I believe Nina Teicholz would be the perfect person for this job. She has the knowledge and skills to assist RFK and Trump in laying the foundation for a truly healthy diet.

Ms. Teicholz, PhD is highly qualified to address the deficiencies of the USDA Dietary Guidelines. She has no conflicts of interest. She rightly believes that the dietary guidelines must be based on sound science, which has not been happening. I was following the US dietary guidelines, and it was ruining my health. Ms. Teicholz’s meticulously researched book (among others like Dr. Robert Lustig) helped me change my diet. My health improved as a result. I feel better and have maintained significant improvements of my CVD markers.
The US Dietary Guidelines are hurting the country, costing it hundreds of billions of dollars every year in healthcare costs, making it difficult for the US military to find healthy recruits, and bankrupting Medicare and Social Security. If we don’t address the deficiencies in the Dietary Guidelines, we can’t fix any of these things. Dr. Teicholz can help right the ship.

The first person I think of when I hear “nutrition advocacy” is Nina Teicholz PhD.

Just look at what she’s done with her Nutrition Coalition.

I’m a Registered Dietitian and Master’s degree holder in nutrition, and I am aching to see drastic change in the dietary guidelines, the messaging around food and health in our country, and changes to our food supply and agricultural systems which are conducive to human health, not the profits of Big Ag, Big Food, and Big Pharma.

Professionally as a dietitian, I educate and counsel people every day on changes they should make in their diet and lifestyle to improve their health, but if I say what I’m expected to say and use the handouts I’m expected to use, I know I won’t be helping them - if anything, I’ll be harming them, and the non-maleficence (do no harm) principle of the Code of Ethics for the profession of dietetics is too important to me to educate and counsel people according to the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the recommendations and handouts put out by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, etc.

If we want to Make America Healthy Again by changing the dietary guidelines, the public consciousness about health and nutrition, and what is taught and recommended by nutrition professionals like myself, Nina Teicholz is at the very top of the list of people that should be put in charge of those efforts. She is outspoken, courageous, and principled, as well as well-informed on the topic and history of food systems and nutrition as they relate to health. She is the perfect person for the job. The health of the American people is too important to NOT appoint her to a position in the MAHA movement. I strongly support her in this role and I hope she is put in a position to effectuate a massive overhaul of our dietary guidelines and our food supply.
