Yes, and some idjits nominated Obama and David Hogg. I wouldn’t worry. I think the team can sort out the joke nominations.
I’m verified in the sense of linked to my web site, but I’ve been saying since the turn of the century that private individuals should never put real-world names or contact information online. Law enforcement can trace the location of your device if you’re using it for illegal purposes. Otherwise, what people say online should be judged on its merits alone, without any “is this someone I know, someone I’m prejudiced against, someone who is rich, someone I find attractive” filters, and without putting identities out there for the convenience of thieves.
Senior enterprise systems consultant (software) first time use. Useable and practical was able vote and comment quick. Could in future add focused visual picture info/nav and ai reword like a focused group Instagram. But In general useable
I came to vote for Brandon Herrara and have no idea if I did or not. This site is garbage. I suppose RFK will do a great job in any government position judging from this site. Not user friendly nor any semblance of organization to nominate people for positions because of the random broad categories. Would be better to have the cabinet positions and then whoever reports to them as subcategories… you know like how the government’s org chart is actually set up.
I love the Voting for Nominees idea! However, I find the site confusing. I expected a page for making Nominations (including their qualifications) and a page for Voting but it will take time I don’t have just to figure out how to vote and I see that Nominations are already closed…
The page seems more like a social media site with all the commenting… just not what I expected or that I have time for.
Thank You & Best Wishes
A suggestion… The opening page has a “Search for a Nominee” box but many users won’t know who’s been Nominated.
The “Nominees” link in the sidebar does list Nominees however it would be nice if they could be ordered, as in Lastname, #votes, or position nominated for.
Just my thoughts, Thanks!
There are too many duplicates. Someone needs to clean them up and get the votes in one spot.
There are also too many failed efforts of people trying to put their names in. The ones with errors should be removed.
This is a great site. And although Trump is not choosing his top people from it, it will be very useful for later. I am praying that you will get the top position but I fear there are too many pro vaxxers in high places who will whisper in Trump’s ear.
Now you see the problem. 4,200 SES positions to fill with people that (generally) have to uproot and move to D.C. then enter a hostile work environment knowing they and family will possibly be out in 4 years. On top of that, you’ve opened the nominations to so many unlikely to take the challenge which disappoints the nominators and leads to potentially bad press. It’s like taking suggestions from the crowd at the Super Bowl. Not too many thought out, serious or well informed in the chaff. Maybe put out out a call for anyone released/fired during the pandemic in each dept. Maybe they could tell you who the trusted folks remaining are. Those folks could give you a real insight as to who is trustworthy and serious about reform. It’s worth a shot, I know from my time in the CJCS office, your nominee will need any loyal help they can find l, otherwise they’ll get buried by proffered meetings, briefings and bullshit meant to distract. It’s a bit like winding up in charge of a cemetery. Only your staff has shovels and know where the bodies are buried. And they just need to outlast you.
I’ve noticed it sometimes puts you on the same page but not in the same spot. Is there something you would change? I’ve been playing with it for a few days here and there and am getting lots of good ideas. It’s making my brain work, which is always a good thing.
I’m shocked that this appeared on the press just two days ago and you have already shut down the site. Looking over many of the ridiculous nominations and the process being closed so quickly, one has to wonder if this is a legitimate process.
I love the connection and responses. Thank you. Everyone will be critical about the first version but this has so much potential and I hope you continue this and the policy’s for the people page. Version 2 and 3 will be even better.
Thank you
