I nominate Jay Bhattacharya PhD, epidemiologist and professor at Stanford University. He co-authored the Great Barrington Declaration condemning the lockdown as counter to decades of effective public health policy. He was de-platformed and maligned. Still he has persevered in educating and encouraging vigorous debate as part of the scientific process. He’s podcast, The Illusion of Consensus, features individuals on the front lines of pursuing valid scientific research for the benefit of humanity.

Thank you for this. I nominated him also and wasn’t able to submit the form because I didn’t have JB’s email address. He strikes me as not only brilliant in science but also–and equally importantly–a grounded and right-sized, compassionate human being. He’s capable of setting aside ego to inspire people under him to collaborate in true service.

Dr Bhattacharya would be an excellent choice to head up the NIH/ NIAID. Dr Fauci was extremist in this role inflicting immeasurable damage and untold deaths with his HIV experiment and the intentional COVID debacle that have his finger prints over every aspect of its origins. I can think of none other than Dr Bhattacharya to restore honor, integrity, and ethics to this vital role of managing a new era of research and medical advisor to President Trump

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya has demonstrated courageousness and integrity under immense personal and professional risk. He has been through the fire and come out intact, and, more importantly, he has been right! Dr. Bhattacharya has held firm to his analysis because he is committed to evidence-based policies, and he has amply demonstrated his ability to effectively and transparently lay out his case based on scientifically and medically sound analysis of the facts. He is an inspirational leader of the highest intellect and character, and would help to restore Americans’ trust in public health institutions.

I previously nominated Professor Bhattacharya on this nominee cite, however, the name was misspelled…

Professor Bhattacharya brings his medical economic expertise along with exceptional integrity and courage. Under serious professional duress, he spoke publicly, citing Covid policies that were causing more harm than good, that in subsequent years have proven correct. Certainly, Dr. Bhattacharya has the strength and dedication to implement major changes.

A doctor with integrity & a trusted voice (co author of the October 4, 2020 Great Barrington Declaration with 940,000 signatures recommending “focused protection” for those at risk of death not universal vaccination when most are not at risk of dying.
I lost 2 of my younger sisters in 2022 and 2023, both vaccinated & boosted, to aggressive cancers. Would they be alive if they had not vaccinated?
As a journalist, I know I can depend on Dr Jay for honest statistics and analysis.
He has 500,000+ followers on X Twitter so you can see I’m not the only one who feels this way.

While I don’t disagree with anything anyone else has said, I think he would be a good fit for the department of education as well.

yes. Jay demonstrated a rational and measured approach to the covid pandemic and frankly got it right. time to return medicine to solid evidence based medicine and to keep politics out of it. unfortunately journals such as NEJM have been playing fast and loose with their peer reviews and has become an editorial rag rather than one respecting science. this needs to stop.

I agree wholeheartedly that Dr. Bhattacharya is an excellent choice regarding his values and chgaracter. He risked his career with the Barrington Declaration, with the Santa Clara c@v!d study, and public statements to media and Congress. He is of the highest character for the job and his experience with academia qualifies him in a way that Kennedy may not have expertise. Academia has a huge influence on the NIH.

But Kennedy has something that Bhattacharya may not have: legal expertise in the structure of bureaucratic governmental institutions. I suggest that this is different from academic experience. If the NIH job is to weed out Machiavellian administrators and miscreant underlings, Kennedy’s legal expertise for disassembling the defense mechanisms of hierarchical bureaucracies from within is a better bet. Not knowing the legal ropes for removing bad actors is a liability towards that goal. I suggest that Kennedy is better qualified.

Dr Battacharya has been an unyielding advocate for human rights and the use of real gold-standard science in the field of health care. His record stands for itself. He has put his own well-being at risk in order to promote human health within the important structure of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. I endorse Dr Battacharya with a sense of great hope and anticipation for a healthier, free America.

Courageous man who was willing to speak opposed to the mainstream voices early in the pandemic, regardless of the disparaging reports made against him and his colleagues. How much different the pandemic would have gone had he been in charge.
