Tell us about your experience on the site

No, I’m not here to tell you my experience (bad, frustrating, much like dealing with health insurance, in fact, for perspective) but instead to reply to the comment I am replying to (according to your site!). I have no interest in sticking to nominees, so WHERE is the site (or space here?) where we can talk with one another to see who else is local and interested in Making America Healthy Again? There is nothing event-wise even within 100 miles from me, now. We need GRASSROOTS organizing after CREATING WAYS to find each other. I am in rural Illinois, a LONG way from Chicago. THIS is why I’m here!

FYI, I hit the Reply button here (in snip) and the site dumped me waaaay down at the bottom.

So this site and MAHA itself are only about top-down authority – we might get to choose our leader but the connection ends there, and we got no further say. As if leadership without the people it ostensibly represents can get anything done that both meets the needs of the people and fosters effective and long-term change! Where is the space to connect? To find others and create events locally? To build an actual movement? Good leadership at the very least means responsibility TO one’s people, and not lording power over them.

@Dee_Emm I think part of this is about stepping up within our own communities and taking the initiative to create change. I used to plan family events locally before the lockdowns, and one thing that stood out to me was how isolated I felt in that effort—like I was fighting an uphill battle on my own. What’s missing, in my view, is a system to connect and support people who genuinely want to lead, so we’re not all struggling in isolation. I guess what I’m saying is that both leadership at the top and grassroots efforts need to support each other. Once someone reaches a leadership role, they sometimes lose sight of the grassroots level, which is where real connection and impact start.

Where are you @Dee_Emm?

We roadschool full-time across the country and are currently in Florida.

Here I am! Feel free to take a look and share your thoughts. If you like what you see, a vote would be much appreciated!

Hi

I am having trouble logging in :frowning:

Will keep trying

Thank you!

Having nominated myself for virtual office admin, I thought about nominating Morgan Griffith (R-VA-9) for Government Efficiency. (Tight budgeter, voted against a pay raise.) I don’t know whether he wants to be nominated or appointed–and have e-mailed his office to check.

But the form seemed harder to use to nominate someone other than myself. Which fields are for the nominator’s contact information, and which for the nominee’s? I don’t know which e-mail account he’d want to publish. His office phone is public information; I don’t know whether he uses a mobile phone.

Woot! I’ve already done enough research to answer two questions? I’d better leave this site before I start thinking I know how it works!

@rsheridan: I thought of that, and thought it might be a good idea to e-mail my Congressman before nominating him.

@Dee_Emm: Are you in the CHD forum? That one’s designed for people to discuss questions, show expertise, and build alliances. It’s at community-forum.childrenshealthdefense.org .

I think the “phone” field should be optional. Phones never have been very reliable in some parts of the country, like mine; when Verizon stopped supporting the phones that worked for us, most people I know made the transition to e-mail only. I still have four phones, none of which works even as a clock, but there is no phone where people can call me. To call people who cling to phones I have to walk a mile to a store that still has one. Phones really are obsolete technology.

Add a way to upvote people without having to click on their profile. This would make things much more efficient.

I have seen several people ask about being able to edit their submissions. I’m one of them. I made really dumb mistake on my submission, and would like to correct it.

Okay when people submit, there should be a filter that stops duplicate submissions from happening and points the person to the user who posted the first submission of that nominee so that they can talk and people can suggest edits or new information if appropriate.

It is missing Veterans Affairs as a category to nominate to.

This is the prototype for We the People involvement. To ferret out the best willing people to come forward and shine. Unity party will benefit from using this as a model. I thoroughly enjoyed using it. I’m over 50 but bc I’m wildly capable, it was not difficult at all

Under Americas Health, I found there are 3 seperate pages to vote for Kennedy. There is a main account, a duplicate, and an incomplete. I think all sections should be reviewed so there is only one page per nominee to vote on.

Hello, I think this is a wonderful way to get the real people on board and get away from the DC insiders. I hope you have people on staff that will delete and monitor nominees that are meant to just waste your valuable time. I see Sen Cory Booker listed as a nominee. Obviously, he should be nowhere near any of these offices!! I have a feeling that the people who have lost their minds about this election will try to just fill it with nonsense.

Thank you for this opportunity! Id like to suggest there be a box for the nominees credentials. Some people put in Dr. before their first name and I didn’t think to do that. If someone has achieved this they should all have it or none, as part of their name. Thank you

But when voters are adding their own comments in the same section, any “corrections” posted by the nominee in a comment is likely to go unseen/lost amidst the other comments. So that’s not a viable solution for edits.

This is my 2nd feedback comment of a broader nature than the 1st. Again, I applaud your effort and hard work creating this forum.

As a person not affiliated with any of the regulated industries herein, I am concerned that voices and votes like mine will be drowned out by votes from the industries as they are better equiped to network and mobilize their members.

Us outsiders will, once again, get shunted into a backwater eddy where we’ve been treading water for decades.

Thank you again for this opportunity. There is much hope riding on this wave. I understand the complexities of each step.
